Insurance time

Well, insurance time again.
Depressingly it seems I'm not going to be below £1000.
Almost certainly as a result of the loss of no-claim from an accident, but that's how it goes. Best quote so far is from Admiral at £1012 and some change.

Anyone got good insurance suggestions?

That is seriously painful. I remember when I had an accident and lost my no claims bonus when I was 25ish in the mid 90's. It went up to £500 odd.

The shock comes from each successive year as the amount slightly decreased. 10% in Year 2 £450, 20% in Year 2 £400ish, you end up paying far more in the long run.

Yeah, well basically last year I ended up paying £600 or so. Which was vaguely inconvenient....

It really isn't getting any cheaper to be a driver.
