Tracks things like bills, casual debts, and stuff loans amongst housemates. Of course, being an american site it refers to them as room mates, but the point's still the same ;).
Has cool features like 'library', which includes a 'search for stuff on amazon' (I've just keyed in 'george r r martin, and selected the list I've got for example).
I'm quite impressed :)
Created an account usin' my current gmail address. Have created a group for the house. I'll play with it a little more, to see how it goes. Not convinced I want to be entering in other people's emails, if they've not signed up yet though.

The idea of updating via SMS is also pretty good I thought, although admittedly doesn't work in the UK.
