Lotus Notes
Jun. 15th, 2006 02:20 pmLotus notes is an email and 'groupware' system.
It's quite good at it, and does calendary things, and emaily things, and collaboration.
What it is not, though, is a database. If you are wanting to do data storage, manipulation, exports, imports and concurrent access, what you want is Oracle. Or at a pinch, MS SQL Server.
If I'm stuck with having to manually do data entry to move information from one notes "database" to another again, I will have to go and kill kitttens.
Please. Think of the kittens. Use email clients for email, and databases for databases.
