Helldesk duty dispatcher

Now at the moment, I'm acting as dispatcher for our helpdesk calls, here in the happy lala land of IT Server operations.

This sucks badly, because of all the inane, useless and incomplete helpdesk calls that seem to get fobbed off as a 'server problem'.

However, the role is starting to grow on me. You see, all calls get to go through dispatch. And as that's me, I'm in a _perfect_ position to fob off all those really horrible calls, that either involve talking to fuckwits, or with 'transient error' problems.

Do you think if I keep this up, someone will notice and do their damnest to stop me from doing this ever again?

It's a win win situation really...

Gangers and Clubbers in a Cyberpunk setting

Is anyone interested in showing up to SINergy for a one off part? I'm looking specifically for newcomers to the event, and am prepared to offer free admission (ok, so it's only a fiver, but...).

The role's quite simple. Show up to the Leicester Square (In Leicester), play a 'ganger' for an evening (the style is almost entirely up to you) and take in some of da fine DJ work by mrph (Assuming he's planning to be there for the next one) and a few other DJs and observe the mayhem and byplay caused by you being a hard nut ganger, and possible the side battles as various subset of player character shoot (IC only ;p) at each other.

You'll be given a simple-ish character brief, with a little background to the system. If you're wanting to do more, then that's fine, but ideally what we're after is a little more of a gang presence (at least for next event) in what's supposed to be a gang dominate area.

Some limited transport may be available, I'm not entirely sure though (read, as it stands the regular spaces are filled, but I'm hoping to persuade some drivers around Cov that it'd be fun). Failing that, the train ain't shockingly bad.

Time in is notionally at 16:30, although typically it's nearer 17:00. The club is also a pool hall, and people start to arrive at 13:00 or so. Time out is about 10-10:30, but the bar stays open :) Oh, and it's on Sunday September 5th.
