sobriqueNow don't get me wrong. I don't mind sharing coffee. After all, it's a decent an generous thing to do. Especially when work is paying for it. I don't mind sharing the coffee machine either. Whilst that _is_ mine, it was a 'ten quid from argos' job, and ... well I figure that a few more litres of coffee don't do it overly much harm.
What I _do_ mind though, is how I've been coming to the coffee machine, mid afternoon, to find it either a) empty or b) switched off with a bit less than a cup left in it.
I don't _mind_ sharing the coffee, but the deal is this. Every now and then, you get to make _me_ a pot. A pot holds about 5-6 cups, and I don't care if you only have one cup a day. By my reckoning, this means about once a week, you should be re-filling that pot.
I rather suspect I know who the culprit is too. There's only one person nearby who drinks coffee. But I'm not certain _enough_ that I'm prepared to grab him by the collar, breath heavily my coffee scented breath in his face, and do the "YOUR TURN TO MAKE A POT OF COFFEE".
