Now don't get me wrong. I don't mind sharing coffee. After all, it's a decent an generous thing to do. Especially when work is paying for it. I don't mind sharing the coffee machine either. Whilst that _is_ mine, it was a 'ten quid from argos' job, and ... well I figure that a few more litres of coffee don't do it overly much harm.

What I _do_ mind though, is how I've been coming to the coffee machine, mid afternoon, to find it either a) empty or b) switched off with a bit less than a cup left in it.

I don't _mind_ sharing the coffee, but the deal is this. Every now and then, you get to make _me_ a pot. A pot holds about 5-6 cups, and I don't care if you only have one cup a day. By my reckoning, this means about once a week, you should be re-filling that pot.

I rather suspect I know who the culprit is too. There's only one person nearby who drinks coffee. But I'm not certain _enough_ that I'm prepared to grab him by the collar, breath heavily my coffee scented breath in his face, and do the "YOUR TURN TO MAKE A POT OF COFFEE".

Not me guv - I can only remember having one cup of coffee while at work in my years here... 9am meeting one day when we were grabbing drinks from the vending machine before it started, unfortunatly it would *only* vend white coffee... but I had one since I needed the caffeine.

You could try putting in only one cup's worth of water whenever you wanted a cup of coffee - so the other coffee drinker had no option but to make their own for once :)

Know how you feel. All though in this house the machine magically turns itself off even though theres a full Jude mug's worth of coffee is still in the caraf.. which is annoying. We have a magical coffee machin sprite:)

Try putting the "coffee doesn't make itself!" note taped to the machine. ??? or the gentle reminder note of "please refill the coffee pot when nearly empty?? or the "if you have to turn the machine off then it needs refilling" note..

then if that don't work.. remove rights to the machine????
