Well, now. Interesting days.

Today's 'news' is that Prince Harry went to a fancy dress party dressed as a Nazi. There was a real furore and fuss made.
Is it just me who thinks that that's a chronic over reaction, of people being offended on someone elses behalf?

[Poll #417813]

In other news, I now have an electric hair trimmer. I shall be experimenting with that tonight. So I may have to call in to work with 'bad hair' and arrive late as I go to the barbers for a 'fix'.

And also, I have been having a chat with a nice chap from a recruitment agency, who's spotted my LJ (Hello Fhamid!). We were having a bit of a chat about a 'prospect' at a small company called Merill Lynch. Which does kind of sound interesting. It'd be tough at the moment, because I've got a couple of things 'on the go' at the moment, which I really would like to see through. (VMWare, and certification, and a new SAN in march). This is leaving aside the relocating/commuting choices. Which whilst they're not out of the question, well, London can be a difficult move. It'd be a bit of a pity to disrupt Larping, although that's not guaranteed by any means.

We shall see yet. The current situation suits pretty well, but ... well the housing market is pretty brutal, and I am giving thought to buying somewhere.

Friday tomorrow. I'm on call unfortunately, so I shall be staring longingly at other people's pints at the beer engine. And I may be a little late, if I stop to go to the Gym.

Edit: Just thought though, worst case is I just have to refuse to remove my hat for a day or two...

One of the reasons tt would bother me a bit is due to the fact that im Jewish on my mothers side, and catholic on my fathers, and some not so distant relatives were killed in the holocaust... but tiz not for me to judge what someone wears at a party, if i was offended I would leave, if the party was at my house, I would ask them to leave out of respect for *heritage* and personal feelings... would I hold it against them, no, its an outfit, and being *just and outfit* I should get over it, yes, but reality is we are human, and we cant always control that type of emotion, just the same as if someone came dressed as a KKK member, it stands for bigotry and hate, and that Is something I wont have around me :)
