Fox hunting

Seriously, I mean the amount of coverage and political wangling over this one issue, I'd say is probably more than that over the war in Iraq.
Now don't get me wrong, killing a cute fluffy-wuffy fox is a bit nasty. But I don't really think it justifies the level of conniving, policting etc. we've seen.
I have my suspicions that it's been used as a 'political tool'. Actually, I suspect it's being used as a smoke screen to slip through nastier bits of legislation.
And incidentally, I heard a politician whinging on the radio that 'we offered a compromise, but the Lords won't accept that'. In my opinion "It's still banned, but we'll let you have a little more time" isn't much of a compromise...
