The Day After Tomorrow
May. 27th, 2004 10:22 pmWell, been to see it.
It's a disaster movie, but if that thought doesn't make you go 'ick nooo' then it's probably worth seeing.
Pretty spectacular with the special effects - Tornados in LA, Tidal wave in New York, and the obligatory English scientists in Scotland.
Oh and for those who work in Centigrade, -140 Fahrenheit is -95 degrees.
My 'Must See' list this summer consists of (so far):
Shrek 2
Spiderman 2
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
The Chronicles Of Riddick (yes, it _is_ a sequel to pitch black, but had favourable comments on IMDB, and looks cooool from the trailer)
Around the World in 80 Days
The Bourne Supremacy
And on the 'probably will go see' list:
I, Robot. (OK, looks like a _bad_ Asimov conversion in a 'Will Smith does Matrix' kinda way)
The Punisher
Thunderbirds (It looks to be a rather cheesy International Rescue get fucked, and kids save the day, but I reckon it's worth a look)
Garfield (It's Garfield)
Catwoman (MMmm. Catsuit. Halle Berry and Sharon Stone)
Hellboy
And on the 'worth keeping an eye out for' list:
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (Hey, it's Angelina Jolie. Who cares if she can't act)
Alien Vs. Predator
Blade: Trinity
(Trolled along http://www.imdb.com/Recent/UK)
And for those who may possibly be unaware of the fact - PUB TOMORROW (Friday) NURSERY TAVERN 7PM ISH!
In other news, I need to get me a lightsaber.

Date: 2004-05-28 07:09 am (UTC)Run a Star Wars RPG (or convince someone else to). Wanna play a Jedi!!!
Films I'll definately try to see:
Shrek 2
Spiderman 2
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
The Chronicles Of Riddick (Trailer looked cool)
The Punisher (I'm a fan of the comic)
Garfield (It's Garfield!!)
Hellboy (Comic's not half bad)
Alien Vs. Predator
Blade: Trinity (I enjoyed the first two films).
Other stuff I might be convinced to see. Didn't like the original Bourne Identity, don't like the look of Catwoman, and Thunderbirds seems to be going for "the youngest one is the hero who saves everyone" which really doesn't fit very well.
