A new game. Initiated when you are cold called by a sales or marketing person.
Points are scored by referring the call to someone else. If they do get called (eg. the salesperson doesn't get bored) then you score a point for each person before you.

So the first person to get called gets a point for a referral.
The person who it's referred to gets two points if if the call is forwarded.
And so on.

Points to be claimed in a mostly arbitrary manner, by emailing the person to who you forwarded the salesperson. They then confirm if they got a call.

Calls may be forwarded either direct from the phone, or by giving them the 'correct' number and name.

Some arbitrary prize to the person with the highest score at the end of the year.

Technically anyone may be a participant in this game, and if they are called then the points are scored - you do still need some confirmation that the did get called though.

An extra point is scored for referrals outside of IT (assuming it's IT related) and an additional bonus point if it's outside the company (but again, you need to be able to confirm).

how many points do you get for getting the sales person to visit you, but then denying that you know anything about them when they arrive, so that security wont let them on site?
