According to the polls, the 'yes to AV' campaign is suffering somewhat. I'm fairly sure at least in part things like this are responsible: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-1383314/AV-referendum-Vote-No-tomorrow-stop-Nick-Clegg-destroying-democracy.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

But anyway. I honestly thing AV is a good choice, for all sorts of reasons. I'm actually quite appalled at the mountains of bullshit I've seen about it - mostly from the 'No' campaign.

Maybe it's not the best choice, but I think it's enough of a step in the right direction, that I'd like to urge everyone to get out and vote tomorrow. Ideally for AV, but if you don't think it's fit for purpose, go and vote against.
The last thing I want to see, is this referendum - the first time in a VERY long time we've been offered a chance of political reform - just sort of fall apart due to voter apathy.

I hadn't seen that Daily Mail piece. I especially liked "the arcane AV system, in which candidates are marked in order of preference, rather than with a simple ‘X’..."
Fiendishly complicated indeed!

Well I'm voting yes, the no champaign did themselves real harm today by having the BNP going round in a radio car blaring vote no so we don't get a mosque in our area. I hate intollerance for peoples religions or lack of them so even if I hadn't already been in the yes campaign that would have made me jump for yes.

I'm voting for AV 'cos it's got less letters in it.

I suspect part of the problem is that neither side seems to have any respect for the electorate.

"No" was not above using deliberate distortions of the truth to get their way and used the excuse that we were all stupid to justify it, and "Yes" appears to be of the opinion were all too stupid to make our minds up ourselves, and instead of actually countering what "No" were saying, they just parroted the same line.

In the end, people will only vote for change if the argument is made for it is clear and compelling. It wasnt.

Seriously, the best explination of the entire issue i managed to find during the whole campaign was a Youtube video involving Jungle animals! I mean seriously!
