So, weather was warm. Possibly too warm at times, but generally pleasant. There was a thunderstorm, which made a splendid backdrop for the evil undead hordes attacking.

There was a rather splendid pallisade wall across the field, too, which really did add to the feel of the event.

And as ever, the hospitality at the LRP hotel was superb. There's a lot to be said for tent there already, shopping, settling in for a beer or 5. And of course, packing up - it rained, we didn't care.

Event itself was a bit of a mixed bag. Thorn is no more. Wasn't quite the epic end that I'd hoped for, but getting knifed in the dark wasn't exactly unexpected either. So it goes. If he'd stayed alive, I'd have kept playing, as I liked Thorn, but over the last year or two, a lot of the people who really made Jaguarising interesting have moved on for one reason or another. So I'm not overly sad. And enjoying a spot of the schadenfreude as I get to see the fallout. My only slight concern is the future of the church and the faithful, but ... well, we'll see if anyone is ready, willing and able to take up the mantle.

But I have moved onto a new character, that is human - so can 'downsize' costume when the weather is hot, doesn't have to get painted up each morning, and I no longer have to plan toilet trips a half hour in advance. And I can stash money and stuff conveniently, and actually fit in portaloos now.

New character is a bit of a blank slate at the moment - going to see where and how it goes. Got a few ideas, and ... starting to figure out what he's all about, but we shall see. It was nice to just chill out and have a character with some actual income, so I could visit all these places that I've not really been able to in quite the same way - played some blackjack, bought a cocktail, and had some nice cider, all for 'free' money.

Good event. Made it to the end before running out to steam, but now... I think I'm on the verge of falling asleep right here. I think I'll last long enough to get a couple of things out the car, watch dr who and eat some supper, but ... well, yeah.


All in all, a good event and a real change of pace.

Well, without Primus (Horn, Igor, Liz, Lilith) Jaguarin' it up was getting less fun. Had a good run though :)

Pity you didn't get a good sendoff. I remember the trial and execution of your last character, the captain ^^.

Also removes a good 'enemy' for my group to plot against as well. Not that my group is really around anymore though...
