The Bear and Jazz

It seems the Bear at Berkswell is doing a live jazz evening this Thursday.
I'm probably going to go. Anyone interested in also doing so?

there is little in the form of plans, just notions. But it could be a plan. It's liable to be busy though.

not terribly impressed with the Bear any more.. we went there a couple of weeks back and I wasn't too impressed with the atmosphere really. although the service seemed to have improved slightly..

I have to agree, perhaps the staff have changed or is too busy for its own good. I think I would recommend the old mill in Baginton instead.

Have been there a bit recently. Food's good, but ... last time the service was a bit poor.

Well I found that the pub itself lacked that friendly something and we got what I can only describe as "significant looks and sighs of annoyance" when we requested to split the bill because it turned out we didn't have enough cash to cover the bill and had to pay by card... I know its a slight pain to have to re-jig at the last minute, but they weren't "that" busy and it doesn't take all that long to just split the bill.
