How did you choose your username?

I've seen a large number of different 'handles' on IRC, LJ, MSN etc. Some of which are fairly obvious in the source - a book, a name whatever. So I thought I'd put together a little poll:

I don't think the "It's plagiarism of someone elses character (book, film, rpg)" is quite accurate. A lot of my nick's are stolen from something book / film / rpg / computer game, but in almost all of their cases, I wouldn't have described them as someone else's charater. Most of the time they're names mentioned in passing.
