sobriqueIt's a lovely sunny day today, and it seems someone has decided to clean some of the statues on site. We have 10ft ish statues of Neptune, St George, and Hercules, in bronze. Thing is, they're somewhat underdressed for English weather - Ol' Hercules is over there showing his machismo by wearing a loincloth whilst strangling a lion. (no, that's not a euphemism).
I know why that's so, but none the less I can't help but feel theres something rather obscene about a guy on a step ladder, fiddling around with Neptune's crotch.
