How to make your PC clock synchronise automatically (this works on Windows XP, can't comment on other versions):

It's worth picking on one physically close to you, as that minimises network latency.

2 Set it as your time server:
3: Restart your time service:
Then resync your clock

net time /setsntp:ntp0.uk.uu.net
3: Restart your time service:
net stop w32time
net start w32time
Then resync your clock
w32tm /resync
