Ok, so a contingent are off to see Hamlet down in London in a couple of weeks.
Show starts 19:15, running time is 3 hr 35. Last train back is 22:02. And actually looks like engineering works are planned.
Either way, travel home is going to be an interesting challenge. Being as it's central London, parking and car travel might also be exciting. So was wondering if everyone else who was going had planned ahead already?
There's not really a shortage of hotels in London, and driving may be an option. There is an NCP in Drury lane, for example.
I have the added factor of starting from Hampshire, so have to think about ending up in the same place as my car. For this reason, going Hampshire - London - Coventry may actually work out best.
Thoughts anyone?
Oh, and pre-theatre food?

Thoughts anyone?
Dark and terrible ones about what I'll get up to after taking over the world.

If you are planning to drive back from London that would save me some cash on a Hotel room. I can some money towards the parking charge.

Pre-theatre food sounds good. I'm sure there must be plenty of restaurants around there, preferably not Indian/Curry or just plain odd.

If needed I can probably drive a carload down from Coventry and don't mind the idea of driving back late at night. I have no concept of where the best place to park would be though.

Food-wise, I'm fairly happy with whatever :)

Turns out there are lots of places to eat nearby, the only factors are style of cooking, cost and spare tables.

Places to eat in Central London are much more about deciding what it is you want, than it is about actually finding something :).

Well, I think I'm on the choice of:
Driving from Hampshire -> London -> Coventry.

Or driving Hampshire -> Coventry -> London -> Coventry.

Or getting the train from Hampshire -> London and back again, or perhaps ot Cov, but then having to figure out what i'm doing with the car.

It's all fun really.

Hmmm, travellating to London and back is annoying when you can't get back...

If you are going to drive back then I could bung you moneys to drive us back too if we get the train to london?

Em also knows loads of places to eat in London apparently.

Right. Spoke with Ed and Chris about this over breakfast. Ed is liable to go straight there from Hampshire while I suspect I may end up driving both ways. As such, I'm happy to transport you two and Chris assuming contributions for fuel and parking. We'd just have to decide what time to head down/what we want to do while there and what we want to eat and when. I'd suggest meeting up with Ed for food if doable on timing.
