Today I am weary. It's as if everything's harder than it needs to be. As if gravity got turned up a bit. I don't like being weary. Not so much tired, as exhausted. I don't know why this is, but I don't like it. All my muscles ache, and don't work well, and it's not because I've actually done anything today - the height of energetic was walking for 10 minutes to have a look around a new gym, and get rained upon. (The new gym looks quite nice, I've signed up and it's right next to work, which is good)
Work has also decided that time sheets detailing down to the minute what we're doing is a good idea. I'm not so sure I agree. In fact, I'd go as far as saying it's pointless, annoying and actively counter-productive, and if it weren't for the fact my notice period is a month, and this is coming in on Wednesday, I might just quit.
Bleugh.

Hang on, if it is down to the minute does that mean you also get a costcode for 'taking a piss and making a cuppa'?

Date: 2008-07-07 09:52 pm (UTC)There will be fire, drinking and some landrovers. But you can ignore the landrovers if you want.

Date: 2008-07-08 06:32 am (UTC)Also, I find putting 'maintenance' for comfort breaks and tea has an amusing effect. When they ask what you're maintaining, point out yourself and ask if they're working call-centre breaks?
If you want total honesty, put down 'reading corporate e-mails' and 'meeting:(subject)'.
Also be sure you put down your H&S alloted screen breaks.
That lot usually shuts them up.

Date: 2008-07-08 05:58 pm (UTC)I could give them a list of about 5, well documented things that could make things 'more efficient' around our office. Instead, they get the computer operators to do what a computer would - type out numbers.
