Am now back from Iceland. It was rather good. Weather was a little harsh in places, but taking shelter indoors is always a good thing.
I could tell I was back in England, when we stopped at a service station, to buy food, and I had to check he'd got my order right, because it didn't feel like I was being brutally ripped off. (yes, prices are that high in iceland).
High points of fanfest, include ranting at dev team members about stuff at round tables.
Getting an introduction to Webwars:EVE (if anyone wants an invite, give me a shout :)) Concept's fairly simple - form up fleets, conquer 'real' websites with them. Looks sufficiently light and amusing though, that I figured it'd be worth a go.
Much EVE geekery was done, and I'd love to link you to some trailers and screenies showing upcoming coolness (their quote was 50 man-years on redesigning in game artwork). But I think there's a few too many hungover devs, so they're not up yet :).
Oh, and as of tomorrow, EVE is now supported on Mac and Linux. For the moment, unfortunately, the latter is only on NVidia graphics cards, but they are working on ATI support. 's just they've had a stronger relationship with nvidia to date.
