Have just eaten at the Shafiq restaurant on Whitby sea front. It's a Pakistani restaurant, and the food was truly superb I had a tuna karahai. Fairly quiet but that is only to be expected off season on a Monday. Menu was a choice of meat, sauce and temperature - mild medium apna or hot. Friendly staff and fairly usual fare drinks wise. Not the cheapest of eateries mind at about ten to fifteen pounds per dish but you do get what you pay for. I'll be going back there I think.

The Indian restaurant in the station is also well worth a visit. Very reasonably priced too.
