Stardust, is a story, about a 'fantasy world' just over there.
It is elegant, and mythic, with all the key elements a fairy tale should have.

It shows Gaiman's influence, in being ... well quite dark in places.

Really beautiful film, and so nicely done.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this. Have you read the book? (and/or 'Wall', the short story sequel that Gaiman might follow-up on at some point...?)

As someone who read the book, the film does no disappoint.
I wish I could remember the poem the Babylon candles are a reference to though.

Hardly just "by being quite dark in places". Gaimain's involvement was incredibly obvious in the style of humour and storytelling.

Since I really don't care for his prose, it further cemented my opinion that it's a shame that he's now mostly writing books - he's so much better at other things.

The best new release I've seen so far this year - very highly recommended!
