Date: 2007-08-25 09:13 pm (UTC)Then again all fonts where you give a crap about legibility (CD keys, etc) should use the 0 with the line though, the capital I with the lines at the top & bottom, and capital B's that don't look like 8's (or vice versa).
Ideally, such codes only have one of the "possible mix pairs", since they are known, but I expect that requires more planning than just using a decent font, so I'll give some leeway on this.
(Yes, all of those bit me & usually several other engineers at least once. Damn Dell service tags)....
