Alphanumeric CD keys, should not have 0s or Os in them.
No, seriously. JUST DON'T.

Table's booked for Flamingos, 10 people at 7pm. Cocktails beforehand, whenever someone feels like it.

This anything to do with Bioshock? My CD key was heavy on the letter "O". Harumph.

If they use the zero's with the line through them, that can work. Also, I've seen some things that automatically turn O to 0

Yes, 'twas a bioshock CD key, and had Os, not 0s, and no way to differentiate. Which was irritating.

If it doesn't have the line through, assuming O is a good default.

Then again all fonts where you give a crap about legibility (CD keys, etc) should use the 0 with the line though, the capital I with the lines at the top & bottom, and capital B's that don't look like 8's (or vice versa).

Ideally, such codes only have one of the "possible mix pairs", since they are known, but I expect that requires more planning than just using a decent font, so I'll give some leeway on this.

(Yes, all of those bit me & usually several other engineers at least once. Damn Dell service tags)....
