Ever had one of those days, where everything seems to have got just a bit too much? Where what you really want, it just some space and time to yourself?

Where things just don't 'feel right' and you feel that little edge of melancholy?

Ah well. Time I think, to go watch a good DVD with a glass of wine.

Funny you should ask...

Yeah, the last week's been a bit like that for me. Work, partying, no quiet moments to recuperate. I need some downtime.

Lots of times but it usually passes.

In general: yes, but I'd say on and off for years rather than days.

In specific: I had much the same thing myself this weekend. I was supposed to be going to a party at a friends in Surrey when I found out it was going to be rather larger than I expected (upwards of 70 people). I went into my normal shy/antisocial/aspergic/call-it-what-you-will panic spiral and bottled it minutes before I had to leave for the train.

I then spent the rest of the day kicking myself about it, playing games and generally feeling a bit miserable. I've attempted to snap out of it today by actually doing vaguely useful stuff, but we shall see.

(Sorry for the long post, good timing on the question!)

Fortunately I only get about 1-2 of those a month. Coupled with a bad mamory, I am usually back to normal the next day.

Of course. I also find that red wine is preferable to beer in these states. Not sure why, but its just a lot better for it.
