Day one/two

sobriqueDay one at the new job was mostly unproductive. Then again, I daresay it pretty much always is.
Arrived at Barclays, to find they were suffering shortages on desktops, laptops and swipe cards. Which made doing ... well anything at all a bit of a challenge. So it was documentation reading. But no hardcopies of those, so involved a bit of faff to get word reading on my home system.
The site looks nice enough. As far as I can tell, I'm the first person in this particular 'team' and I'm working with 3 guys from another company who handled the implementation and are handing it over.
Anyhow, today it's off to Knutsford and Runcorn where my new employer has stuff. The fact that my previous employer did too is an irony that's not lost :).
