"Abit AN8 SLI Fatal1ty motherboard"

It's wrong that PC hardware is turning to marketing techniques used in the skateboard market.

I've got the twinky µGuru frontpanel. Tis indeed very twinky :)
There's something amusing about being able to overclock your PC while it's running by pressing a button on a seperate panel. It remindsme of the days of the old turbo button on PCs :)

Ah the old turbo buttons, where a certain collegue-mate of mine (and also Ed's) used to persist in turning them off to make the PCs go EVEN SLOWER!

Sadistic bastard ... (and probably now a practising one! lol) :D

That's harsh mean and unfair.
I mean, just because we literally do build in processor throttling and filesystem quotas, so can _can_ just 'make it go faster' doesn't mean we _like_ doing it.

Where's this piece of tech coming from?

Why choose them? Other than the localness.

Localness was an advantage - proximity meant I could pop in with my spec and talk it over. I've bought from them before, in my previous PC incarnation, and had no real problems. And their pricing compared very favourably with DABs/Overclockers/Alienware.
