Good start to the day.

Got out of the house to have a chat with some traffic wardens, that were noting down my registration, for 'parking on the verge'. Was a 'this could have been a fine' rather than an _actual_ fine, but even so.
It seems that the parking enforcement is picking up.

Which is nice. I mean, I don't park on the verge out of choice, there really isn't anywhere else to park. I have had _several_ of my neighbours asserting the whole 'this is my spot' thing by knocking and asking if I can move my car in the past. I think from now on, my answer will be no.

Then, the journey into work ended in a traffic queue. 500m from work, queue for 25 minutes.

And then discovered that the carpark at work, is not so much a bit frosty, as covered in a sheet of ice. Which will prove interesting this evening.

I think I shall be having to start getting up ultra early, and getting going for the early shift. If only so I can be a parking space hog.

The route to Rugby was indeed a slow and slippery one this morning! And I just can't wait for the penguin-walk/fall over session on the way back to my car tonight. Think I shall get up very early tomorrow to try and get one of the two much-fought-for spaces behind my office.

isn't it that the earlier you go the worse the roads will be, in terms of icy and wet? assuming its going to ice over again tonight.

and i totally agree, those neighbours hogging spaces can stuff their ideas about their rights somewhere else. In fact, how about you go and apply for a permanent parking permit of some sort making it your space, if that is possible. :) now that would be funny, hehe.

Haha! My son is a Traffic Warden, or "traffic pig" as he calls himself. He rides to work on his skateboard, has skulls tattooed all over his arms, has genital piercings and goes to fetish clubs. He also has a shaved head but with big sideburns. He likes wearing a uniform and being called a "cunt" in the street, he thinks it rocks. ;)

Actually he's very kind when he does his job.

Why do traffic wardens have a yellow stripe around their hat?

So people don't park on their heads.
