Whilst having a discussion in the pub, the subject arose of the origins of the human race.
It seems we're all descended from a common ancestor.
This is important news.

You see, it means I am a direct descendant of the first ruler of the world. Now there's been many many generations of usurpers, but I feel it is now time for me to claim my rightful throne.

Emperor Ed.

Or maybe King.

I'm a little undecided on that bit. What do you think? Monarch or Emperor?

You should just try being a Count, really. That way you get to ponce around being pretentious without all the responsibility of being a King or such. But I guess you're not the type for being pretentious and poncing. Ah well. I intend to be Countess Mischa one day. Countess Mischa of Kittenland... bwahahaaa! Not very menacing, is it? But I imagine it would involve wearing lots of floor-length (fake) fur coats and strutting around, maybe on a beautiful pure-black horse. Hmmm.
