OK. So the 'The home secretary can make your live miserable' bill has made it past the commons.
A mere 14 vote margin, but IMO that's still at least 15 too many.
Would I be out of line in screaming "Not in my country"? I can only hope that the house of lords does a thorough job at torpedoing and sinking this horrific piece of legislation.

Yesterday was a little fraught - maintenance work by a collegue kinda 'messed up' over the weekend, and theen 'kinda' spilled over onto monday, and then he had to go off to an appointment.
Result? Well, horrific mess of blurgh on the server. All day.

Ack. Bein' fixed now. Slowly. Tortuously.

SINergy this weekend. Am considering moving venue for the Friday night sess to the Nursery. The question there though, is would that make you more likely to show up?

My Maelstrom downtime is now sorted. I've got in touch with the person I was going to swap skills with, and ... well now won't be. Which is nice. So I'll do a few things for myself, and a bit of preaching too I think.

For me, it reinforces the idea of a govt which is determined to never stop legalisating, just like managers who never stop meddling, never stop arsing around simply because it's what they like to do. Must be seen to be busy, must keep implementing 'improvements'.

There comes a time when you need to stop and let things settle into a routine so people can actually do their job, live their life without some motherf**ker wanting to justify their useless and pitiful existence. Get a clue moron, the next improvement is you leaving.

I really do think we need to lose this government at the next election. Unfortunately, I also think that there are no credible alternatives...

Even if the House of Lords does nix the bill, the home sectary will just turn to the parliament act and ignore the wishes of the upper house entirely. Democracy is great (sic)

Nah, they can't pull the parliament act until the Lords has rejected it three times in consequtive parliaments.

I don't get paid until the 31st, and until then I have very little to live on. Not helped by the Fucking Halifax not clearing cash after 3 working days....

Plus, some sleeping schedual which doesn't have me passing out due to exahstion at 7pm each night...
