OK. Well, I just rang the council. The court case is going ahead, because it "can't be stopped". But they're happy that our account is sorted pending a benefits claim. So are going to walk in, and say "sorted, no further action your honour, provided they cough".
Well, I'm perhaps paraphrasing slightly, but that's the gist.
I've just realised a minor problem though now. My PDA doesn't do bluetooth without a thingy. And in my thingy slot right now, I've got a memory card. (You'd not _believe_ how many ebooks one can fit in 256mb. Well maybe you would, but it's a lot ok?)
So I have a choice of a SD bluetooth thingy or a Cradle bluetooth thingy.
Difference being, is that one I'll be able to use at the same time as my memory card, but not the solid case I have. The other I'll be able to use all the time, but I'll have to swap cards.
Decisions decisions.
Still no snow. Heard that places have oodles. Not fair really.
Have a meeting with EMC later. It's about their 'vision' (1 point) of the future potential 'synergies' (2 pt - and I'm having real trouble spelling that word correctly) with VMWare.
VMWare is a company that do virtual machine software. They've been bought by EMC who do enterprise storage. Suggestions are they have some really cool tricks in mind...

Be careful what you wish for - the roads are either closed or clogged 'cos of snow tonight - Paul's still stuck in traffic over 4hrs after he was supposed to be home...
