Proof of Address

sobriqueI've just been on the phone to the bank.
For opening a new credit card account, they needed 2x Proof of Address, and 1x proof of identity.
I sent then: An electric bill, my drivers license, and my vehicle registration document. (Drivers license was allowable on both lists of 'valid' forms)
Unfortunately, the latter doesn't count, since it comes from the same source as the drivers license, and so I need to supply them with a bank statement (or similar) instead.
This is really rather annoying. I can understand not allowing a gas and electric bill from the same company, but really...
So now I've got to go back in to their branch to get my documents sent off. Because whilst they require these sorts of things, they also do not return originals.
