Places to christmas shop, online
Nov. 3rd, 2004 10:34 pmI was having a discussion with
sebbo in the car and we got onto the subject of Christmas shopping. I revealed my dirty secret. That I hadn't done any in two years.
Well, not _strictly_ true, but I did do most of my shopping that way.
Personal favourites include:
Amazon
Think Geek (US based, so you'll probably have to wait for delivery, and factor in 'import duty'). Oh, and they won't ship jolt cola airmail.
Interflora
Hotel Chocolat. For anything from lil' boxes, to a year of chocolated deliveries every month.
Boys Stuff, Firebox and
I want one of those for those 'little but cool' gifts.
The head shop for the smoker in your life.
Overclockers for computer stuff.
Dabs for more computer stuff. (Who if you're feeling flush at the moment, they've got 17" TFT monitors for £186 inc vat.)
And of course, Alexander Wines for a really nice bottle of booze.
Any other suggestions?
Edit:
Incense Man
Weebls stuff merchandise
Play.com DVDs
Argos Online
Warwick Uni Bookshop - good if you're close enough to collect.
You could also buy a friend a paid subscription to their Livejournal.
And of course there is the ubiquitous eBay

I know a fair few people who wouldn't mind a gift from:
http://www.i-merchandiser.co.uk/weebls-stuff/
Then there's play.com, www.argos.co.uk, and the always present (no pun intended) ebay.co.uk . For books, http://booksac.seekbooks.co.uk/default.asp?storeURL=booksac isn't too bad either - especially as you're close enough to collect.
There are others, but my memory is growing dimmer as it gets closer to midnight, and I can't be arsed to dig out my old bookmarks.
