Beer Festival
Jul. 18th, 2004 12:23 pmMany fine beers, including Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby, Brain's Reverend James, and Fullers Special Vintage. The latter being one that Fullers make 20 casks of each year - the Weyhill Fayre had 3 of them.
Hogroast was excellent, there's something deeply satisfying with pork roast, with 'fresh cut' crackling. And the challenge of building huge sandwiches...
The Fullers Vintage, whilst it is excellent, I found is also 8.9%. (No, it doesn't suffer from the 'yuck' that strong beers do usually). By the pint, this was probably a mistake.
Live Jazz and Blues make for a couple of really good evenings.
