Coventy/Midlands community?

Would there be any point in creating a 'local area' community? And if so, what 'scope'?
Coventry, Warwickshire, West Midlands, Midlands?

Sort of for local events, news, that kind of thing. For things like the re-opening of favourite pubs, 'nights out' in town, that kind of thing.

There's already a Midlands community, midlanders, although I'm not too sure about the content...

I'm assuming we're talking for 'the Coventry lot' rather than a generalistic area one, though.
