Wednesdays
Apr. 14th, 2004 12:14 pmWell, it's wednesday, and the weather is fine.
Our dearly beloved VMWare server decided to crash on us (again) so we decided to sneakily stuff more processors and memory into it.
It's now officially the biggest beasty on site, with a healthy 30Gb of RAID memory, 8 x 2800 Mhz Pentium 4 Xeons, and 12 x 146Gb 15,000 RPM scsi disks.
The current count it 37 running virtual machine on this system, and once we have installed the 8 processor vmware license for it, it'll be going even better.
Ah well.
Scheming for Maelstrom seems interesting. Got a few ideas, though most of them sort of rely on a better understanding of what can and can't be done in the system. Oh, and weapons grade conniving.
We're eagerly mustering those who thinks that camping in a field, drinking beer and dressed in character (and talking in an outragous accent if absolutely necessary) to join us for the next event.
Tonight we have WHFRP whence we bimble around the plot and try and not die. I think we're doing OK despite a healthy mortality rate. (down 3 PCs out of a group of 5).
Eagerly awaiting friday for the pub gathering. I think "James Lyrus" has developed enough to be a character rather than a set of stats, so I think it'll be fun to get in the groove as it were.
Now if only they didn't insist on separating their events by a whole 3 months (sob).
Oh and incidentally,
jambon_gris appears to have an LJ now.
