Translation was possibly the most unpleasant think to have ever happened to me. As the world fell apart around me, and re-coalesced exactly as it was before. The whole thing was so disturbingly and horrendously normal, that my first instinct was to double over and throw up.

Fortunately, I'd taken their advice of a light breakfast, and so continued onwards to my office to follow up the details of my assignment.
