Some of you may know that I'm a big fan of Elizabeth Moon's books.
Indeed, the 'Deed of Pakesennarrion' hold something of a unique distinction in my 'library' of being one of only a few books I've bought multiple copies of.
That stands it next to Dune (Frank Herbert), Player of Games (Iain M Banks) and ... erm. Actually, that's about it. (actually, now that I think on it, I do actually have Lord of the Rings a second time, too - paperbacks and hardback, but 'Deed' stands out because I own 3.5 copies - 2 trade paperbacks, one copy of the first in the series, and an ebook)

Anyway, if you haven't read it, go read it. It's a beautifully done high fantasy. Amazon Link

But that aside, whilst you may already know that, what you may not know, is that the illustrious Elizabeth Moon also has a Livejournal - [livejournal.com profile] e_moon60

Also, another book (series of books) set in the 'Paksennarion Universe is in progress'. Some of the interesting 'background' stuff is being fed via: http://www.paksworld.com/

The content is ... well, I'm finding it a fascinating insight into some of the characterisation. Even if the title does make me think a bit too much of Rimmerworld
