Amber

So, we've got a game of Amber going. For those that know the setting, I'm playing a character called Ramius, who's a lord of chaos.
And one of the things Ramius has done over his career is purloin the jewel of judgement from Amber. (This, as you might imagine has had a bit of fallout).

Anyway, as a result of doing this, his job as diplomat was kind of ... well, yeah. Diplomats who nick powerful artifacts tend to stop being diplomats quite quickly. And as a consequence of this, someone with a long standing grudge decides that he's no longer protected by the king, and declares a duel.

So, he's faced with a fight with a Logrus ghost (empowered) of Lintra (yes, the hellmaid who chopped Benedict's arm off).

So, the plan is to not go toe to toe with the lord general of the armies of chaos, because that's not very clever.

One of the alternate plans he has come up with is this:

Jewel of judgement, is a jewel, right? With the pattern inside it, and a refractive index, because it's a jewel. Probably a rather rigid crystal lattice, all things considered.

So. Jewel of Judgement -> Pattern laser. Or 'stupidly bright pattern projector'
