Storage Support Analyst - Coventry – 227970



We are looking for a Storage Support Analyst based in Coventry.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Provisioning of LUNS to servers,
Zoning of servers,
Analyzing performance issues, diagnosing and fixing path faults including HBA, cables, SAN ports, Storage array controllers, storage array firmware, volumes, raid sets and disks.
To support and maintain storage devices and backup systems.
To provide Windows and Storage support to project, development and infrastructure teams.
To ensure that all SLAs are maintained.
Respond to all storage related incidents.
Attend Client meetings at requested locations.
Assist the storage team with proactive improvements of internal processes.
To participate in the change control process.
To participate in the teams out-of-hours on-call support rota.
Develop storage team knowledge and experience
Participate in updating operations documentations for storage and related processes

Key Skills, Competencies And Qualities:

Software
EMC ControlCenter
EMC PowerPath
Legato Networker
Symantec (KVS) Enterprise Vault.
Experience with operation of clones, backing up from snap disks in a Legato environment, multipathing and clustered servers in a SAN

OS
Microsoft Windows 2003

Hardware
EMC Symmetrix DMX Storage Arrays
McData Switches
ADIC i2000 scalar tape libraries.
EMC Centera

Other
An aptitude for problem-solving in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Willingness to participate in an out of hours on-call rota.
The ability to challenge and improve existing processes and technical limitations
