Well, I put in an application to the VSO last week. They've come back to me, and have me off to an 'assessment day'. That'll be on Jan 31st.
Down in London, 9 in the morning.
On the plus side though, they do cover expenses. I just have to decide whether I feel like staying overnight, or attempting to make the journey in the morning.
Apparantly it's a full 'assessment day', but I'm not entirely sure what's involved. *shrug*. Whatever, I remain confident that I can get past that.
The difficult part will be actually making the decision whether to accept a placement or not. 2 years is a long time, even if I do arrange a sabbatical with my employer. Time well spent, certainly. Relatively better/worse than not doing it? Harder to say.

Date: 2008-01-16 09:49 pm (UTC)As to passing the assesment, I guess you've read up on the types of projects they do how you think you'll fell when seeing whatever for real and all that emotional stuff as I know thats been a failing point for some people.
Unfortunatly only people I know who've done things like this are off doing more so can't ask them things.
