Shall we play a little game? Given the photo below, can you spot the parking permit, on my car? (Just to make it a little easier, it's a blue and white disc, about the same size as a a tax disc)

It seems the traffic warden could not, and has thus issued me a ticket. I'm somewhat annoyed. I mean, I've parked 'dodgily' before - they take two weeks to issue a permit, after all - but on this occasion, I really positively definitely wasn't.

I'm annoyed, because I have a valid permit, it was on display, and so this is just a complete waste of my time. And the guy writing out the ticket has declared my car an 'unknown' colour.

Edit: Apparantly the problem was because my disc was incorrectly printed. Which is ... amusing. No. Really. This is my HAPPY face.

I can see something above your tax disc, is that it?

Looks like the windshield's been steamed up / dewed upon, so perhaps that obscured it to some extent. What is the actual reason given on the ticket?

FYI, I had a ticket for "not having clearly displayed a resident's or visitor's parking permit". I had a visitor's parking permit displayed, so I sent them a photocopy of it and they responded to say they'd cancel the ticket. Annoying, though.

The only way someone (especially one who is next to the car, and knows exactly what they're looking for) is not spotting that is if they're not bothering to look and just hitting up every car in the area to up their quota.

Apparantly, they've responded by email, that the 'zone S' as listed on my permit that THEY ISSUED is not a valid zone.

So they'll be sending me a new one, and cancelling the ticket.

It is indeed. Which is why I'm ... suprised. But have just heard back that they failure isn't with the traffic warden's eyesight, it's with the person who issued it who put an incorrect zone on the permit.

*sigh*.

I know what colour your car is. Beige. May be the traffic warden could not spell beige.xx.

The amusing part is the V5 says 'platinum'. Clearly, designated by someone who's never actually seen platinum.

At least it wasn't described as 'magnolia'...

Hmmm... Tricky... Could it possibly be the blatantly obvious (even from a small-ish picture) blue and white circle stuck directly above the tax disc?
