EVE: CCG

Well, it would seem that EVE has moved into the collectable card game market.
They've a new game on pre-release, available from their shop.
For $96 or so, you get a 'megapack' which includes a couple of starter decks, rulebook, tokens and a bundle of 24 boosters packs.

I heard good things from the playtest. At least, to the point where I might be tempted to give it a go. I mean, EVE fixes whilst I'm away from home is clearly only a good thing :)

I suppose I should mention that I'm thinking of picking up a set, so if anyone wants to save some postage, let me know :)

Man i've not played Eve in a long time. hell i cant even remember my account details. but reading this im thinking about starting up eve again and i might even look up the ccg. never know if we oth show up to maelstrom on thursday we could have a game lol

I had my first dealings with House Lyrus at event 2 this year and it wasnt much, just a general hello. it was too hot and i had toothache. But i've just installed Eve again and found my account details so i just need to remember how to play. i might hook up on the tutorial if there is one and start from scratch since the character i had i had only trained one thing on. So this lyrus associates what faction are you all?

Just got a sudden wave of nostalgia from that- I'm wondering what happened to the rest of that group.
I've been looking at Magic cards recently, and I'm more than a series behind- asked the storeman what was before the newest cardset, and got two other names I didn't know...

The last I heard was that Rich had moved to London and Lee only came out of his PhD with an MPhil. But that only dates from about 2003; I lost track of basically everyone once the society was no more. It's sad the way that can happen.
