csi_ellie is getting married. It's been a long time since there was last a wedding in the family. Certainly beyond my clear memory (so that's at least a couple of weeks ago).
Stag/hen night was last weekend, in which we didn't quite break her husband-to-be (well, not permanantly anyway). Is it arrogant to pronounce him 'good enough' for my little sister? Not that my approval (or lack) would (or should) bother them in the slightest. Regardless, I think they make a lovely couple, and will be very happy.
So anyway, I have hols on friday, and I'm off to deepest darkest Malvern, to act as the calm amidst the storm. Unless I miss my guess, Mum will be gradually increasing in stages of frenzy and panic as Saturday approaches, probably assisted by the various other participants.
Various relatives on both sides will be meeting for the first time, which may or may not involve a titanic clash of preconceptions.
The newlyweds will be off to Las Vegas for the honeymoon. Which sounds like a rather nice place to go on holiday.
