Today is was properly frosty this morning.
I think that's about the first I've noticed. Oh well, it's late enough in the year ;).

And of course, it's also like, 6 weeks to Christmas. Well, a little less maybe.
Reassuring isn't it?

And I've just no inspiration about Christmas shopping. 'spose that's somewhat my fault, I've kinda been distant with various relatives the last year. But oh well. Time to go in search of 'useful and acceptable' gifts. Or just wuss out and go for bottles of grog and chocolates and jewellery.

I go on ebay and buy artwork... This makes a unique and relatively cheap present that looks like you've put some thought into it...

Just tie a bow round your crotch and say "your present is in my pants, baby!" - the girls, they love that.

Sadly, for the family members I'm thinking of, I don't think that'd go down all that well.

Hmm, Andover born and Bred. Small world eh? Can I ask which one you're referring to? Winton perhaps?

Actually didn't realised that [livejournal.com profile] odd_perspective came from that part of the world too. Which is the really interesting co-incidence.

After spending this weekend camping I can confirm Winter is well and truly on the way. There is nothing like unzipping your tent, lifting the flap to hear the crackle of ice...

When it comes to Christmas and other important events, I do actually do a list of stuff I would love to get. Not in a 'I want all this stuff' kind of way, but 'if any of this was under my tree I would be a very happy bunny' sort of way. This makes Steve's life alot easier and still leaves room for those suprise presents as well.

You could go for vouchers, but not the normal ones. Theatre vouchers are good, they seem alot more special than Argos and sound like you are treating them to a night out, which you are. You can always contact them and ask them what they don't want, then at least whatever you get them you are onto a winner eh?
