I'm taking calcium supplements. They're 600mg oval tablets. These ones have a nasty tendancy to turn sideways on they way down.

It's like swallowing a fucking golf ball.

Urgh.

Problem is, if I do that, I end up with a _mouth_ filled with chalk. Which isn't _much_ more pleasant. I mean, it's kinda bland and dry, and just slurps the moisture out of your mouth.

well you only specified a possible way to stop the tablet from turning sideways...
how about breaking the tablet in two?.. i know it menas the tablet is in bits.. but the bits will be smaller..

the other thing is big glass or water.. drink after swallowing tablet.. it may help.. i dunno ???
