Where'd that come from
May. 27th, 2005 08:42 amOK, own up. Who gave me the lurgy? I've got a really rather inconvenient sore throat at the moment.
Oh well, at least it's friday. I like friday. Or I would, if I wasn't working tomorrow.
It's really lovely. "Oh yeah, we don't mind there being an outage, we're off to the lake district with the family, to sit by a lake and drink beer. So of course, feel free to do as much work as you can, whilst we're away, socialising, and ... well having a life".
This one's a backup server upgrade. It's overdue really, but... well it's a 12 hour + job, and no one likes working that long on a saturday or sunday.
We're starting at 8, in a somewhat vague hope that we'll finish by the time our regular backups start. 's not likely, but we can hope. You never know, this _might_ just be a breeze. I mean, statistially it's got to be possible right?
So anyhow, I suspect that means any plans I might have had for friday are wiped out. And quite possibly for saturday too.
I shall probably be going to sainsburies on sunday morning for breakfast. Woo. What an exciting weekend. Never mind, it's SINergy weekend next, which'll be good. Probably.
Never mind, 12 hours 'system maintenance time' (We don't get overtime, but we do get a special dispensation for stuff that has to be done out of hours) is going to help the ailing pay packet next month.
