Friday today. That means it's pub day.
This evening, I shall be occupying the Beer Engine, from 19:00 onwards.
And you should too you know. It's good for the psyche.

Veritas crash course

After all that, learning and assimilating veritas, getting a Plan for this weekend to work,
they've come back:

"Yes, we know we wanted it urgently, but we cannot schedule a downtime until December 5th".

Basically they wanted more disk setup on the veritas cluster, but didn't think it'd be necessary to, I dunno, backup, shutdown, or otherwise interfere with the system in any way.

This I can accept from non IT bods, but really, let's at least pretend we know what we're doing eh?
