Puzzle

I have a minor problem to solve.

Due to a problem where my Dad works, he needs to figure out how to sort some numbers.
But they need to be sorted such that there is more than 2 between each number in the sequence.

eg. 2, 4, 6, 8 would become 4, 8, 2, 6.

The problem is in figuring out the 'best' sort algorithm to do this programatically.
Oh and ideally using every frequency.

(The background is that the numbers represent 'channel numbers' on a radio system, and they're separated by 50Mhz. If they're less than 2 apart, then there's interference)

There's probably a beer (or other drink of choice) in it for anyone who can give me a good solution.

It's been a long week here at the farm.

You know, I don't think that God was this busy on the the 6th day. In fact I know He wasn't, because he can only have had 2 users moaning at him.
Yes, God was a Sysadmin.

Arguements

When was the last time you conceded in an argument?
I'm not talking about the discussion at work when your boss says 'it must be done this way, and I'm your boss, so you will'. I'm talking about those points when you genuinely changed your opinion in response to an argument.

What about if we step down from 'argument' and move into 'lively debate'. Be it abour religion, politics, or any of those other subjects where there's no clear answer.

And to flip it the other way, how did you last react when someone conceded that you were right in an argument? Was it a smug crowing of victory? Or was it a gentle acceptance?

Jumping on someone who gives ground, just because they acknowledge that you might be right is the work of an arrogant arsehole. And anyone who debates a subject but wouldn't be prepared to give ground is a hypocrite.

Neither of which are likely to improve your karma.
