What is it about the drivers in Coventry, that means everyone turns into a retard who can't drive, when it rains.

It's England. It does that a lot. The road traffic act does not have a 'special provision' for rain, new manuevers don't suddenly become legal because it's wet.
If anything, it's the opposite. The rules remain the same, the 'safe' speeds for performing them reduce.

But no. I mean, the Ring Road. I know it's got those rather scary chicanes, but really, it's nothing more than a big roundabout. (Well, except for a couple of the junctions). Which means, the process is, get on at merge point. Move over to the right unless you're leaving at the next junction.

Road signs really aren't an opt in affair. They exist because the person who built the road has a better idea than you of what's coming up next.

Ok, I admit it. I'm grumpy because some fuckwit in the car park has successfully occupied 2 spaces in the 'near' car park, meaning I had to park in the 'far' car park. But has done so subtley so there's _just_ enough of a gap to appear that there's a space, without there actually being enough room to part in it.

its only like when the roads are clogged with snow the Morons arrive to drive like nutters, and because the lane markings are no longer there then the road is no longer covered by ANY rules of the road..

Welll, 'can't see the road markings' I reckon is an excuse for ignoring them.

Of course, in the same situation, you should also be doing about 10-20 miles an hours, because you can't see the road markings...
