A sign on a side of a building:

"Open for business as usual.

Sorry for any inconvenience."

Yahwhat? They're sorry because they're open?

Edit: Back by popular request:

The other thing that I saw recently that made me scream in horror was Low Carb Kit Kats

The EVIL Atkins fad is going too far. As an affirmed and dedicated fat bastard, I can tell you right now that they way to go about 'dieting' is to eat less pie.

NOT STUFF YOUR FACE WITH FUCKING KITKATS.

I don't care how low carb they are. You're still screwing up your biochemistry, and whilst it may result in weight loss, it will probably result in cholesterol, heart problems, high blood presssure, liver damage and amazingly stinky breath.

Simple maths really, of energy intake vs. energy usage:
Lose weight by:
Doing more stuff.
Eating less pies.

Doing more stuff will make you fitter, than eating less will. (although actually, I'm finding that doing more stuff is not really reducing weight, but it is reducing fat, which is good enough for me.)

I know Atkins is supposed to work by making you feel less hungry, but isn't that basically the same as "eating less"?

You should try the South Beach Diet. It's got some good recipes, some decent menus, and seems to be quite good for you. You don't eat bread/potatoes/carbs for the first 2 weeks - that's just to get your body over the cravings for them - then you slowly add them back in. But it also encourages you to eat whole grain things rather than processed white bread and the like. For someone (read me) who eats healthily, but could use pointers and suggestions in the right direction, it's actually quite good. Very healthy without being a 'fad' sorta diet.

Yeah, I mean pork scratchings are bits of crunchy goodness, when consumed with appropriate measure of ale.
But if you're trying to tell yourself that they're a 'positive part of your diet' then you're fucking deluded.

Diet is just the food we eat, I'm on a diet, we're all on a diet.

The fact that my diet is bizzarre and not aimed at any self alteration in any way...

Just remember no diet = dead :)
