I see now why there's no rush of volunteers to do this. Especially on days when the GM has been on hols and scheming.
Apologies for the somewhat choppy style of writing. I've been trying to fill in my notes as I've been going and deciphing my handwriting, and trying to
do a job all at once :)

What we did in our Amber game:

Following the Diplomatic Incident last session, with the (attempted) assassination of Mandor (where Xavier, Uther and Tremayne were present):

The session begins with Ramius being informed that he is to return to Chaos forthwith to a meeting with the Royal House of Sawall, by the Lady Marekha.
On returning to Chaos, he enters the meeting chamber, where a number of Lords are present, including King Despil, and the Dowager Queen Lady Gilba.

He is informed that Borel and Marekha of the Chaos delegation are being recalled, and that he will be the sole representative of Chaos in the castle of Amber.

He was instructed to watch out for Francis and Orinda, and to not kill Steve.

He was also asked for his assessment of the Princes Xavier, Lucian, Tremayne, Uther, Joseph and Darius.

Xavier: Shapeshifter, doesn't seem to be a sorceror. More likely to challenge to a duel than stab in the back. Son of Oberon. Engaged to Mordana.

Lucian: Ambiguous, psychically strong, and of negotiable loyalty, with a blade that could cut Tremayne.

Tremayne: Decent sort, again more likely to challenge to a duel than stab in the back. Has magical artifacts of gauntlets, bracers and a belt,
of which he gains damage resistance, deadly damage and regeneration. The assumption is that the gauntlets are responsible for the damage, but
for the other effects - unsure. Not as skilled as Varis with a blade, but extremely strong. Has walked the Pattern.

Uther: A little bit snobby, a sorceror and conjuror, who knows some power words. Has a badass sword and some competent knights. Holds back from fights, but this doesn't appear to be due to his lack of competence. He's no Benedict, but does know what he's doing in a fight. Son of Deirdre. Has a daughter named Anwyn who's
in Amber at the moment. Has a shadow called Avalon.

Joseph: Lethally devious. Has walked the Pattern. Psychically very strong. No direct evidence of his being a sorceror. Son of Florimel

Darius: Keeps his hand hidden. Devious and crooked, but also careful to remain subtle. "Would steal from himself if he could figure out how to turn a profit". Trump artist.

Ramius is instructed to report back, but to not tell anyone other than Orinda or Steve.
Steve is considered unpredictable, but not expendable. Gilba is aware of the origins and powers of his ship, and is fairly sure that Steve is not.

Orinda: Dara has explained to Sawall that her father was a warrior from Hendrake, but is currently dead. They're keen to see what she can do, but want to keep her at the other end of reality.

The Courts want to know in the strongest possible terms what the House of Amber knows about the assassination attempt, and what they are planning to do about the matter.

Ramius is also informed that Francis must not be mentioned to Borel, because Borel is his father. And is probably unaware of his existance, due to being a logrus ghost from beforehand.

Ramius is also requested to arrange meetings with Xavier and Tremayne on behalf of Chanicut. Regarding "their imminant future".

The fact that a war may be coming mentioned, and that Ramius gets to be representative because of being expendable and mostly inoffensive.

Tremayne, after being informed of Chanicut's desire to meet, proceeds to Chanicut's house. Proceeds to have a conversation about Marekha,
where he mentions that Ramius was acting as intermediary.

Chanicut mentions that he doesn't hold a grudge for Tremayne jobbing Xerxes, because he might have done that himself.

Tremayne mentions his plan to 'not win' the duel with Varis, over the lady Markekha, but to fight as best he can. If he wins, he will honour the agreements made.

Tremayne is also asked about Mandor, whether he thinks it was Amber or Chaos behind it. The names Brand, Roderigo, Gideon, Fiona and Bleys are mentioned. The latter two being the only ones who seem to have enough knowledge to create a poison of the type used on Mandor.

Chanicut also mentions the subject of the Jewel of Judgement, and how giving it to Brand might have been a really bad idea.
He also mentions that this time, Brand might not have to do anything to see Amber destroyed - he is of the opinion that Amber is screwed.
Tremayne agrees.

Tremayne makes mention of the empire near Amber.

Chanicut reveals that he was in the army that attacked Amber last time. Wouldn't mind seeing them taken down a peg or two, but doesn't think that Logrus without Pattern (or vice versa) would be a good thing.

He offers his blessing to Tremayne "Die Well".

Xavier visits Chanicut in Chaos form.

Chanicut comments about Xavier being a son of Oberon.

Mentions that it seems more and more like there will be war soon, and that someone is trying to start it.

Chanicut wanted to talk to Xavier about his marriage to Mordana, his granddaugher. They've never really gotten along, but wants to see a good match.
He mentions that Mordana is very stubborn.
Chanicut won't be at their wedding, but might send a gift, then says "Don't take this the wrong way, but if it does come to war, I'm going to be looking for you on the field of battle".

Xavier enquires as to why, and is informed that it's because he's a prince of Amber, he's married to Chanicut's granddaughter, and it's a convenient way to end a marriage of convenience. Mordana is dutiful, and would feel obligation to kill whoever struck down Xavier, but wouldn't have to if it were Chanicut.

Chanicut shows Xavier his sword of uber hardness, describing it as "Partly ceremonial, but entirely functional" and made by the finest weaponsmiths in Chaos.
There's nothing it can't cut, except maybe Greyswandir.

Xavier enquires which side Chanicut would like to see win the duel. Is given the response of "Whichever is better for Marekha".

Xavier returns to Amber

At about this point, Bleys, Gideon and Fiona finish their conference. Fiona departs looking a bit pissed off, and Bleys and Gideon round up 'the lads' (Amberites, not Chaosites) for a discussion.

He mentions:
Fiona spotted no trace of the creature in Leopold.
Bleys scanned him briefly before he went to Chaos, but didn't spot anything either.

It appears to be psychically cloaked, such that even an expert would miss it on a fast scan.
He is convinced though, that as a result of the proper scan Fiona gave Leopold when he arrived, the creature/assassin was not in place at that time, which would make it likely that an Amberite was behind it.

Tremayne mentions that there's not a long list of people capable of producing the poison that took down Mandor. Fiona and Brand being the only obvious two.

Bleys informs them that they've been looking at the design.
Fiona thinks there's most likely more than one
That they're a mostly automatic hunter killer - it's entirely possible that it 'accidentally' went after Mandor, although the presence of the poison suggests otherwise.

Fiona thinks that the best way to capture one of these hunter killers would be to make a hole in the 'host' and making psychic contact that way - it's sensory organs appear very different from normal ones.
Or to lure it to a shadow where trumping doesn't work. - To which Tremayne mentions that 'we' have one, which Uther looks a little miffed about.

Bleys asks the Princes for more details regarding the attempt. They make mention of Mandor using a magical defense to make holes in Leopold, and a brief image of a golden mask on his face as the assassin died.

They also seem to think that for this creature, the Trump is a return trip - to it's base of operations presumably.

Bleys informs them that Marekha and Borel have been recalled to Chaos. In situ representatives are Orinda and Ramius, being as they are inoffensive and expendable.

There's also the possibility that the assassination attempt was staged by Mandor and Helgram.

Bleys thinks that Leopold wasn't involved initially in an assassination attempt on Mandor, because he informed them of the Empire being built in Shadow near Amber. Tremayne mentions Orinda, and the fact that it's her brother involved.

Bleys sends the Princes out with a mission to get diplomatic on his arse, and 'neutralise' him as a threat. Ideally not by just jobbing him, because it may prove that a powerful empire near Amber might come in very handy if a war between Chaos and Amber should break out.

The other thing that he wants them to deal with, is to find Random's other son (?). He's off in a high tech and industrial shadow. They don't know quite what he's up to, but he wants all the Amberites back in Amber for security reasons.

Oh, and they should take Gideon's son Alexander with them when they do. He needs some experience.

When those two matters are dealt with, then Amber really needs the Jewel of Judgement back. Caine managed to recover it from Brand last time, by shooting him in the throat.

Tremayne suggests getting in touch with Osric and Corwin as possible support.
He also mentions Hyashi, who he met in Corwin's pattern, on a mountain, with a powerful sword.
Corwin didn't want to disturb him, and when Tremayne was told to 'go away' he thought that would be a good idea.

Gideon looked perturbed by mention of Hyashi.

Bleys mentions that Sir Francis was a son of the Courts, was 'stirred up' against Amber and Chaos by some unknown party, and was all set to crusade against them both, which was why he was taken out of the picture.

After the meeting, Tremayne grabs Lucian and Xavier.
He mentions his concern that the assassin was either spotted by Bleys, and let pass, or that Bleys didn't spot it. The latter seems the more likely.

Tremayne suggests that they want to have a word with Lucian's grandfather, Corwin. (hahaha, Josephed!). Xavier is very wary of the idea, but isn't going to stop them.

Lucian and Tremayne attempt to make contact with Trumps they have. There's no answer.

Xavier heads off to the armoury, with the sword he recovered from Eregnor. It seems to be a simple conjured artifact, and will degrade over the next week or so.

He returns to his quarters, and is attacked by Sand.
Xavier (after getting a bit of a beating) asks why Sand dumped him in the middle of London.

The answer he gets is because it was safer, because it saved Darius, and because Sand didn't appreciate been treated as a courtesan.

Sand just dropped by to talk of current affairs.

Informs Xavier that Llewella is/was interfering with his shadow. And that when Xavier destroyed the hall of mirrors in Rebma, it really cut of Llewella's access, but had a much lesser effect on Sand.

Sand has it on good authority that the hunter killers are not Brand's work.

Xavier asks Sand a few questions, such as why the war is starting, and what she knows about the creatures.
It seems that the creatures could well be pre-programmed, and the diplomatic incidents are just side effects.

Sand also reveals that the reason that Llewella is interested in Xavier's shadow is because there is a broken pattern there. It used to be part of the Golden circle, but was 'moved further out'. She also makes reference to Oberon as dad, making her and Xavier brother and sister.
It would appear that Xavier in 'real terms' is a little younger than Benedict.

Sand and Llewella don't get along, because Sand stabbed Llewella after she had some mooks trying to destroy reality.

Sand is interested in the Broken Pattern in Xavier's shadow. No one is really quite sure how they were created. Some think it happened after Martin was stabbed and his blood spilled on the pattern. Others that they had always been there, just of 'no real interest' until comparatively recently.

Sand also mentions that Lucian has walked a Broken Pattern under Delwin's guidance.

Delwin, Mandor, Bleys, Despil and Gideon were all aware of the Broken Pattern in question.
Sand doesn't know what Llewella's interest is, but suggests that going and asking her might yield results.

There have been rumours and sightings of Broken Pattern Ghosts investigating the more 'real' shadows.
It seems that Broken Pattern ghosts are imperfect copies of people who've walked broken patterns.

Fiona has other concerns however, that Oberon never entirely repaired the Pattern after it was damaged.
Dworkin perhaps being a reflection of the state of the Pattern is unwell.

As a final request, Xavier asks Sand about her presence in Tremayne's shadow. Sand declines to comment.

Lucian gets a contact from Corwin.

He fills Corwin on the details of the current situation. Namely the fact that hunter-killer assassins have been butchering people around various shados,
and that one of them tried to kill Mandor. Messily.

The design sounds familar to Corwin, who mentions a similar set of names, and then mentions that this sort of thing has already been done by Kyoshi.
The records, however, were destroyed, because they were eager to avoid a repeat.

Only Corwin, Hyashi, Fiona, Bleys, Gideon, Fergus and Rodrigo were aware of it.

Roderigo would be at the top of Corwin's list. Corwin is of the opinion that Roderigo is no child of Caine, the same as Madeline is no child of Merlin.

"Presumably that claim was safer when Caine was thought dead".

Corwin signs off to contact Tremayne

Tremayne gets a Trump contact from Corwin next.
Informs Corwin that he grassed him up to Dara, and is formally in her debt.
Corwin offers sanctuary from the big scary monster assassin thing. Tremayne declines for now.
Tremayne also mentions that he owes a debt to Llewella that can be enforced.

Corwin mentions that Tremayne has some mental blocks, but that he won't interfere across a Trump contact.
Tremayne tells Corwin that Gideon knows that Hyashi is in his pattern, and Corwin tells Tremayne that Osric left some time ago.

He thinks that Osric is only being sustained by demons and will die without their support. Which is unfortunate given that the only way to free him from their influence
would be to get him to walk the pattern again. At which point, blood of Amber might be spilled.

Corwin advises Tremayne that Trump contact with Delwin or Sand could be extremely dangerou, although Delwin would probably refuse the contact.

Tremayne goes and finds Lucian and Xavier. They discuss the conversation with Sand and Corwin.

Xavier asks Tremayne to have a word with Llewella regarding:
The significance of the Broken Pattern.
Where it is.
The sightings of the Broken Pattern Ghosts.

Tremayne gets in touch, and he and Xavier arrange to meet her in Rebma.
